China Post is to issue a set of one commemorative stamp entitled 2025 Global Leaders’ Meeting on Women and the 30th Anniversary of Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action on October 13, with the design bearing the same name as the stamp. The denomination of the whole set is 1.20 yuan, and the planned circulation is 4.6 million sets.

In 1995, China hosted the Fourth World Conference on Women, organized by the United Nations. The Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action adopted at the Conference became a milestone in the global pursuit of gender equality. Thirty years ago, Beijing witnessed the determination of women around the world to pursue equality. Thirty years on, all parties gathered in Beijing again to chart the course for women’s development worldwide, hoping to see more women shine in life and realize their dreams.

The stamp design primarily features such elements as a female silhouette, a peony flower, the earth and a peace dove, which together constitute the number “30”. The pink peony symbolizes women’s strength that is gentle yet resilient, and also signifies that the meeting is held in China. The light blue dove indicates cooperation, stability and harmony. The Earth in blue and green symbolizes global equality and development driven by green technology, reflecting the rich content of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

The stamp is printed with photogravure technology, whose high saturation and chroma accurately present the colors of the original design and reflect its rich content. Special ink is applied to the main image to create a unique luster, which not only enhances the anti-counterfeiting performance, but also improves the visual appeal of the stamp.

The stamp is designed by Li De, edited by Wang Nan, and printed by Beijing Stamp Printing House Company Limited with photogravure technology.

The set of stamp will be available for six months at designated postal outlets nationwide, online mall of China Philately (https://jiyou.11185.cn), the mobile app of China Post, the WeChat Mall for philatelic products in the official WeChat account and the WeChat mini program of China Post Group. To present more information about the stamp, China Post will release the digital content through the WeChat mini program “Encyclopedia of China Philately and Stamps”, where philatelists can learn more about the stamp via its AR function.
