On August 25, a ceremony was held in Zhengzhou, Henan province, to mark the official operation of China Post (Zhengzhou) Commercial Consolidation Warehouse and the launch of the Zhengzhou-Huanghua Port postal international express line.

Approved in August 2024, China Post (Zhengzhou) Commercial Consolidation Warehouse was completed after a year of construction. The facility, covering an area of about 4,000 square meters, serves as the only international commercial consolidation hub of China Post in Central China.

The consolidation warehouse integrates the functions of a processing center for international dedicated commercial lines, a commercial consolidation hub and a first leg transit center for China Postal Warehousing Service. The newly launched Zhengzhou-Huanghua Port postal international express line operates a weekly Zhengzhou-Huanghua-Los Angeles sea route. With this route, goods are pre-distributed at the consolidation warehouse in Zhengzhou, transported by land to Huanghua Port, and then shipped directly to the United States by sea, with a sea transport time of 16 days. This route boasts the timeliness of express shipping at the rate of regular shipping, providing enterprises going global with a Henan solution featuring more options, faster speed, better service and lower costs.

With postal commercial express service, FBA first leg transportation and overseas warehousing as its engine, this consolidation warehouse will enhance the international logistics and transportation service capacity of Henan Postal Branch and even Zhengzhou Port, and provide local and neighboring provinces with comprehensive one-stop logistics services, including international commercial dedicated lines, FBA dedicated lines and first leg services for overseas warehouses. In doing so, it will drive the transformation and upgrading of specialty industries in Henan and its neighboring provinces, and contribute to Henan’s efforts to establish a sophisticated transportation hub, develop advanced logistics services, and foster competitive industrial clusters.
