At the end of March, the artificial intelligence (AI) application platform and DeepSeek-R1 large model, independently researched and deployed by the IT center of Inner Mongolia Postal Branch, were put into operation, marking a significant step Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has taken in the application of AI technology.
The newly launched AI application platform was constructed by the IT center of Inner Mongolia Postal Branch using decommissioned servers. The IT center overcame challenges such as low compatibility and power supply limitations of the old devices, and enabled parallel use of several GPUs. With minimal hardware procurement and investment, the center tried different technologies, integrated multiple software solutions, and completed the platform shortly after the release of DeepSeek large model. The platform boasts such functions as configuration, development, testing and release, and is privately deployed with three DeepSeek-R1 models with 14B, 32B and 70B parameters respectively. It has, therefore, significantly enhanced the integration of technology and business across the postal sector in Inner Mongolia and strengthened intelligent data processing capacity.
Based on this platform, Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has also developed a data analysis assistant, which can automatically complete data analysis as long as users submit data files and give analysis requests. Looking ahead, this AI application platform will keep providing diverse AI applications for Inner Mongolia Postal Branch, and improve complex multimodal and multitask processing capabilities. It will fully tap the potential of resources, boost operational efficiency, and advance the high-quality development of the postal branch.
