Liu Bochen is the head of PSBC Dalian Nanguanling Sub-Branch in Liaoning province.

Ever since he was discharged from the army, Liu Bochen has been working in his ordinary position in PSBC Dalian Branch, consistently setting a role model in the bank, presenting a positive image of the bank, and selflessly dedicating himself to his work in the grassroots. While serving as the head of Yingkelu sub-branch in 2016, Liu Bochen immersed himself completely in business. During the day, he went out to expand the market and develop the customer base, while in the evening he would explore implementation plans. Through a year of relentless efforts, the savings balance of his sub-branch doubled. And during his tenure, the savings balance of the sub-branch remained top in PSBC Dalian Branch.

On March 21, 2017, an emergency occurred at the bank where Liu worked. A masked gunman took hostages with his gun and sharp knife and attempted to rob the bank. The criminal threatened to kill hostages if he couldn’t get the money. To protect the safety of the state property and employees’ life, Liu Bochen rushed forward at the critical moment. Risking his own life, he disarmed the gangster of his pistol and knife with his bare hands, fought with all his strength to bring the gangster to the ground, subdued him together with the security guards, and eventually handed him over to the police. Liu Bochen ignored his own life and safety in defense of state property, and demonstrated his responsibility and commitment with his courage and dedication.

Liu Bochen has successively been honored with the titles of role model at provincial and municipal levels, such as Spokesman for Civilized Dalian, Good Samaritan of Dalian, Role Model of Dalian, Good Samaritan of Liaoning, and Good Samaritan of China.
