Section 2 Perfect Post Decree

The post laws in the Sui and Tang were rather perfect. It was recorded in detail about regulations of POst in the Tang. The content was mainly on how to decide the punishment, "Law" was the Penal code, "Decree" was the regulation, i.e. "Law" was about criminal punishment while "Decree" was the system regulation. There were 9 items about post in Tang laws, which focused on how to accelerate document delivery, Prevent from document overstock and assure document safety. Furthermore, post personnel Were provided with priorities such as priority of pass.

The supervisory system in the Tang was also quite strict, with specific official as supervisor in general, 4 section supervisors for each route and one person as supervisory official of post. If there were no violations of regulations in the year the official would be ranked as upper-class, otherwise as lower--class.
