postal service was prompt in reviving the postal webs and routes, enlisting the
support fro m different sectors. As a result, it was able to extend its services
to cover the whole county with a short time. And since the 1980s, the industry
has especially registered a surging growth. For this reason, the State and the
Ministry of coverage; Speeding up the technical upgrading of trunk railway
routes, and purchasing more train carriage for postal use ;Importing heavy-duty
trucks and forming truck fleets for postal inland waterways ,and optimizing the
postal networks so as to increase remarkably the shipping capacity, especially
that of the postal service itself.
As a consequence, the total mileage of postal routes grew from 900,000 kilometers in 1980 to 2.85million kilometers in 1998,train carriage having increased to a total of 490,and mail trucks from 7,000 to 33,000.
