Hotels Designated by the Congress

Twelve  hotels  and  apartments  of  different  grades   have  been  selected  for  the  participants,and an agreement of special rates (27--50% lower than the regular ones) has been reached through negotiations. You may select your accommodation among them. A hotel guidebook about hotel locations, rates and services will be mailed to the delegations. Shuttle buses will be available between BICC and all the hotels, except the ones that are within walking distance to BICC.

Your are requested to complete Form--A, (Block Reservation of Hotel Rooms), and Form--B, (Individual Registration and Hotel Reservation). December 31, 1998 is the deadline for group booking while April 30, 1999 is the deadline for individual booking. Please send Form--A and Form--B back in time, otherwise, you may not be able to book your favorite hotel at discount rate.

Registration

One week prior to the Congress (Monday, August 16, 1999) participants can register at the special counter located in the lobby on the first floor of BICC. The working time of the  registration center is; Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. -- 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m.--2:00 p.m. (August 21, Saturday, and August 22, Sunday, will be two full working days, from 8:00 a.m.-- 7:00 p.m.).

After settling down in the hotel, please bring your passport to register at the registration center. The staff there will assist you with the registration process. You will then receive important information about the Congress and Beijing, the invitations for the opening ceremony and other activities and your Congress badge. All the delegates and the accompanying persons must wear the Congress badge for identification when entering conference halls or taking part in all the activities during the Congress.

There is a photo studio near the registration center for the delegates without proper ID photos.

To facilitate your registration process, please send Form--B (Individual Registration and Hotel Reservation) plus two photos (3 .5cm x 4.5cm) to the Chinese Secretariat for receipt no later than April 30, 1999.
