Stamp Issue in 2005
In 2005, the State Post Bureau issued 28 sets of commemorative stamps and special stamps, as well as 1 miniature sheet and 2 stamp booklets, the total selling price of which reached RMB 113.10 (including the miniature sheets and stamp booklets). Four designs of special-use personalized stamps were also issued.
2 sets of 2 regular stamped covers, 3 sets of 3 commemorative stamped covers, 4
sets of 4 regular stamped postcards, 9 sets of 9 commemorative stamped postcards
and 2 sets of 2 special stamped postcards were issued. And one set of New Year
Greeting postcards (lottery), including 4 regular ones, 4 letter cards, 4
greeting cards and 4 curiously shaped postcards were issued as well.
Stamp Issue for Big Events
In 2005, the State Post Bureau issued stamps to commemorate big events,
including the 600th Anniversary of Zheng He's Voyages to Western Seas, the 60th
Anniversary of Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against
Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the 100th Anniversary of the
Chinese Cinema, the 40th Anniversary of the Founding of Tibet Autonomous Region,
the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Emblem
and Mascots of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, etc.
Joint Issues between China Post and Overseas Posts
In 2005, the State Post Bureau jointly issued special stamps titled Paintings, Waterwheel and Windmill, and Leopard and Cougar with Liechtenstein, the Netherlands and Canada respectively. In addition, China Post together with Hong Kong Post and Macao Post jointly issued the commemorative stamps titled the 600th Anniversary of Zheng He's Voyages to Western Seas.
