2003 is a key year for China Post to lay down the foundation for, expand the market and accelerate the development of the logistics service. Its logistics revenue increased by 39.42% over the previous year to RMB 2.66 billion yuan.On January 18, 2003, China Post Logistics Co., Ltd. was established with a registered capital of RMB 200 million yuan. As a modern comprehensive logistics service provider, it offers warehousing, packaging, distribution, processing, cargo handling, transport and information services. Following the needs of market and customers and leveraging on information technologies and China Post’s network, the Company is committed to offering quality service, building a modern public logistics platform which integrates physical distribution, information exchange and capital flow. China Post Logistics puts forward the distribution and mail order business principles of “channel operation, subscription number distribution, project management and quality supervision”. It takes seeds and liquid fertilizer as the focus of agricultural input delivery business and milk, wine and beverage as the focus of commodity distribution business and has developed a number of well-known postal logistics brands. China Post Logistics paid special attention to developing big customers and organizing marketing activities in four key industries i.e. IT (electronics, mobile phones, etc.), pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and auto spare parts. It has fulfilled 36 integrated logistics projects and maintained the leading position in mobile phone logistics market. It provided logistics services for a large number of well-known domestic and international companies including DELL, Avon, China Telecom, Lenovo and TCL. In 2003, China Post Logistics launched the North, South and East logistics networks and effectively developed and utilized the logistics resources of China Post, laying down a sound foundation for the growt h of the express delivery of trucking freight.
